Are you interested in climate change adaptation in mountains and eager to accelerate action?

The Adaptation at Altitude programme is excited to introduce the Adaptation at Altitude (A@A) Knowledge Network: a global community through which we can share experiences and knowledge on adaptation in the mountains and collaborate to accelerate the uptake of innovative solutions. The A@A Knowledge Network aims to:

  • Encourage communication between stakeholders working on and experiencing climate change adaptation in mountainous regions across the globe.
  • Support the sharing of successful solutions for adaptation in mountains.
  • Foster the translation and uptake of solutions for use in other locations.

Want to get involved? Our first meeting is open to all interested in climate change adaptation in mountains, and will be held online on the 30th May 13:00-14:00 (BST). This introductory meeting will explain the aims of the A@A Knowledge Network and provide a space to openly discuss what we, together, hope to achieve and work towards. Sign up here!

To stay informed about future A@A Knowledge Network activities and updates, keep an eye on our 'Climate Change and Adaptation in Mountains' discussion space.

What is the Adaptation at Altitude programme?

The Adaptation at Altitude programme seeks to increase the resilience and adaptive capacity of mountain communities and ecosystems to climate change by:

  • Improving the knowledge of appropriate climate change adaptation strategies in the mountains
  • Transferring that knowledge through science–policy platforms to inform decision-making in national, regional and global policy processes
