Are you creating novel visualization and computing platforms that provide climate data in readily accessible, usable formats? Or are you seeking to connect scientists producing and policymakers using data with technical experts?

This AGU session on "Actionable Climate Tools and Data: Rigorous, Accessible Products Tailored to User Needs" will connect scientists producing and policymakers using data with technical experts creating novel visualization and computing platforms. We welcome abstracts that share success stories or novel pathways on establishment of long-term relationships between scientists, stakeholders, and code developers; on enabling communication between groups; or on production of usable science data and informatics and tools.  We also seek forward-looking approaches that address challenges and opportunities from forthcominghigh-resolution data (i.e. CMIP6 or, socio-economic and environmental data) and methods for presenting multiple concurrent events and stressors.

Come share your experiences on:

  • establishment of long-term relationships between scientists, stakeholders, and code developers;
  • enabling communication between groups;
  • production of usable science data and informatics and tools.

Please submit your abstracts by July 30, 2019, here: https://www2.agu.org/Fall-Meeting/Pages/Submit-an-abstract?utm_source=agu&utm_medium=email

This session will be convened by Owen M Doherty (Eagle Rock Analytics) with the support of David Herring (NOAA), Marjorie B. Kaplan (Rutgers University New Brunswick) and Martine Schmidt-Poolman (California Energy Commission).
