On behalf of colleagues in CONDESAN:
Help us celebrate the important role of women in mountains by participating in our International Mountain Day Photo Contest 2022. To participate you just need to take a photo that shows the important role of women and girls in the mountains. The winner of the Photo Contest will receive a sports action camera!
International Mountain Day 2022 is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of empowering mountain women and promoting their effective participation in decision-making and control of productive resources. In this sense, International Mountain Day is an excellent opportunity to promote gender equality and thus contribute to improving social justice, livelihoods and resilience in mountains.
How do I enter?
To enter the contest, just follow these three steps:
1. Submit a photo of women and/or girl in mountains in a location such as a village, trail, market, landscape, site of cultural heritage, or the seat of a mountain community.
2. Fill in the online entry form, tell us what your photo shows and about the role women play in sustainable mountain development.
3. Don’t forget to post your photo if you have a Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn or Flickr account, using the hashtag #MountainsMatter and tagging the Mountain Partnership.
Deadline for entries is 25 November 2022 (12 p.m. CET).
