Michele Quesada da Silva

Marine Spatial Planning Consultant

I am a Biologist and a Marine Spatial Planner interested in multidisciplinary and participatory initiatives related to Ocean Governance. My professional goal is to build and strengthen the bridges between science, policy and society in order to improve planning and management of coastal and marine ecosystems. I believe that sharing knowledge between and mainly beyond experts is the key to inspire and develop new actions and solutions. Currently, I work as a Marine Spatial Planning Consultant for the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO. Interested in the integration of climate change adaptation and mitigation into marine spatial plans.
