On behalf of the Global Adaptation Network

Severe weather events are expected to become more common in future as a result of climate change. The Environment Agency of England is carrying out an information exchange project, which will consider the extent to which adaptation to severe weather events and climate change is included within environmental permitting practices in other countries.

The Environment Agency have prepared a short questionnaire, and would ask those organisations (which have a legislative or statutory responsibility for the environmental regulation of industrial sites) to consider completing this to help them develop a better understanding of current practices across Europe.

Information from the responses received will be collated, and the findings will be shared. The Global Adaptation Network hope to encourage further exchanges of information and good practice in this topic area in the future.

Please complete as many questions as possible and return to Emma Thomson - emma.thomson (at) environment-agency.gov.uk - by Friday 29th June 2018.
