Federica Matteoli

Natural Resource Officer

I am Project Manager at Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.

I have strong expertise in coordination of projects related to climate change, food security and natural resources management at the global level and in developing countries such as Bangladesh, Bolivia, Caribbean Region, and Democratic Republic of Congo. I have also solid skills in participatory approaches, communications, partnerships and fundraising.

Prior to join FAO, I was advisor for the Italian Ministry of Environment with the specific business to build bilateral partnerships between the Ministry and UN Agencies.

In 2003 I started my career at the World Bank, working for the Community Development Carbon Fund to assist in the coordination of community benefits aspects. After this occupation, I was employed at the Participation and Civic Engagement Group at the World Bank in order to promote social accountability and to improve enabling environment for civic engagement.

I am a PhD student at the Ca Foscari University in Venice in Science and Management of Climate Change. I hold a Degree in Law, and a Master in International Services from the American University of Washington DC.
